maritial status change (Divorce) while eb3 pending !!!
Guys ,, Is this mandatory to update maritial status?? What are the things to send uscis to let them know and keep update records of my case ?? I recently got divorce and I am the main applicant of eb3 while filing i-485 , i didnot mention my spouse as a dependent.. So what should i do to inform uscis to update it..??? your help,, helps me alot .. guys share your knowledge or experience who were going through in this same situation .. I will fully appreciate you guys.. Thankyou xoxo 🥰

you should share your entire history. I have been divorced for almost 10 years (not even registered in the US) and I submitted both my marriage and divorce certificates.

@VCN EB ohh ok i mean what entire history can you tell a little bit about it.. and besides marriage and divorce certificate is there any other supporting document to submit uscis ??

Just that but I shared when I sent all my documents at the beginning. not sure how it works afterwards, I would ask my attourney for advise.

if and when you go for interview they will go over your form again and reconfirm your marital status. I would imagine you can also send an unsolicited docs, write a letter explaining the situation and attach the evidence.

if you are the main applicant then you are good. Just send the divorce certificate to USCIS where your case located at this time. Just write sample letter. There won’t be any impact.
