yes as long as you have a ssn and a work permit, those are reqs especially in NY. unless they have Are reqs in other states

@ s s but do you do that without sa and work permit?
M
My CaseFeb 21, 2022
@Mrs Robles I think you should discuss it with the school. I tried before in NY but they won’t allow me without either of those two

@ss Did you get in without a social security or a permit?

from my experience you’ll need basically an ssn and a photo ID which could either be the EAD card or drivers licence or even your passport. but emphasis on SSN.

You need a social security to do your background check and apply for school. That’s what I did when I applied for Nursing School. You definitely need a state ID. I am paying for school out of pocket. I have a prima facie (VAWA case) and with that I got approved for Financial aid, but they won’t approve me if I don’t have my second prima facie for this year. I’ve been waiting for my second prima facie for over a month.

I want to do lpn in the near future but I need my greencard to get a loan..for now I got through with the cna

I am a CNA. You just need your SSN to become one in Florida.

@s s, I just got approved for a job that trains u to be a cna..is it really dirty job of mostly butt cleaning n being disrespected by nurses ?
M
My CaseFeb 22, 2022
I became an EMT in NY with my ITIN and state ID. A CNA with my SSN. so I think LPN & RN weigh much more so more documents required

You need to have your green card in order to do your NCLEX. That’s what the president of my school said. I told him I would have my green card by the end of the program.

T O, you were a PCA, right? If you work in a Nursing Home, most of the time it is just giving care to the residents and taking vitals. CNAs help with daily activities, such as dressing residents, feeding them, bathing, brushing teeth or dentures, ambulation and etc. I assist the Nurses in wound care or whenever they need me and I know how to do the procedure. Most of the time I do for being a Nursing Student.

If you work in a Hospital, there are more things you will be able to do. I believe the CNAs in the Hospital are called CNAs 2 and they can check the patients BG.

But most of the time yeah cleaning butts and being disrespected by the nurses. Lady ass bitches
. .Feb 22, 2022
not necessarily, they hire for a gna class and ur paid while training. I haven't started as yet, only received my contingent offer as they are currently doing background check.

@T O Cleaning butts is definitely what you'll have to deal with on daily basis, but that certificate is also a stepping stone to get whatever you want to be in healthcare as long as you want to climb up the ladder by studying. From becoming a nurse to a Physician Assistant. a lot of opportunities tho

@ My Case, thanks..I do want to become an rn eventually. waiting on my grewncard

@T O you are welcome. and if you can get yourself into a facility that is willing to pay for your education you're all set!!! Good luck!!!
. .Feb 22, 2022
@My Case, they're paying for the gna state exam, not sure if the pay for rn n lpn..I'm in MD and they have so many prerequisites to take to get into nursing school here..

@T O, ooh ok. I would recommend you to search. sometimes it's the same state, different schools with different reqs. so search and see which is better.

community colleges are not too expensive compare to the state university & you can do a payment plan in the state where I live. ssn & valid state ID for both lpn& rn program that's all
M
Mrs. PositivityFeb 22, 2022
@GodOverAll if you don't mind me asking, what state are you in? I'm in Florida.
