leaving US with AP document while on STEM OPT F1
hello folk,
How safe is traveling with advance parole document? any recent experience? I plan to travel while my I-485 form status is pending. I already use my student based-EAD for work. if I leave US, I would loss my current EAD, right? I have another EAD (I-485 based) untouched, in hand. Do I need to do any paperwork to change my work authorization to be based of I-485—EAD? very confused!

no need to change anything . it’s all safe to travel with AP

check the link, if u have overstayed ur visa you could get yourself in trouble but if you have no visa violations then you're completely safe to travel just have in mind when u reenter the CBP may question u for hours right there at the airport, I have a friend who was questioned over 6 hours and missed his connection flight.

hope the underlying i140 is approved? if yes then no much to worry but just know your opt till be terminated once you activate the aos ead
