lawyer filled my case as unskilled. i m an IT professional and takes long time for unskilled. do u guys think I should go for skilled from start. My i140 already filed for unskilled category.

you have to change to skilled, you will get denied if you get interview.

plus your position is clearly skilled, which can be looked at as fraud from officer's perspective

Final action date date for EB3 skilled is also retrogressed to 2021 and is expected to get even worse. Best thing might be to do both, if you have that option, and take whichever works out faster. I wouldn't abandon unskilled completely though, you're this far already, things might get faster.

@Marwan Yehya there is no option to change to skilled . so my lawyer filed for i140. lawyer is suggesting to start from scratch for skilled

@k l was your perm filed under skilled/professional or unskilled? if in perm the company mentioned that they need bachelor degree or 2 years experience you can easily file new I-140 under eb3 skilled/professional

@N F they filed as an unskilled. I didn’t know about that. when I received my perm and lawyet said can’t file for greencard as date of filing is 2021 than only i got to know she filed for unskilled. just now she filed for i140. i asked her she said it has good chances of apporval from perm thats y most lawyers file as unskilled

file as a skilled bro. I think skilled might get visa faster than unskilled considering you have 2023 PD which is basically like having 2024 skilled PD. Plus number of applicant of unskilled too high.
