L1 L2 will be cancelled. you may have to wait until she gets EAD based on your GC. you can call them to expedite EAD if she is going to lose the job

What do you mean by L1 contract? If your L1 visa is expired I assume your wife L2 is also expired. But a visa is only that, the mere purpose of the visa is to enter the country, is your I-94 the one gives you the status. Now, in your case L1 is for intra-company transfer which means you cannot work for anyone but your company, but as you are already waiting on AOS your status is covered until a decision is made, just cannot work for anyone n_ñ

Regarding your wife, she is in L2, as long as her EAD is valid (which i assume will expire the same date as her I-94) she can continue working. I'll be more worried about your status, as your company terminated the contract they can pull off their request for your AOS. Unless you have your I-140 approved and your I-485 pending for at least 180 days, then you can work for someone else

For EB1A petitions, a permanent job offer is not required, nor do applicants have to demonstrate that they have an employer in the U.S. they only have to demonstrate that they will keep working in the field in which they have the extraordinary abilities, EB1A applicants may file an immigration petition on behalf of themselves. However, EB1B and EB1C petitions require permanent job offers. Still is better if you check it with a lawyer, regards!

That is right. I did a self petition with no employer involved. My current L1 employer wants to repatriate me back to my home country and I don't want to go, so applied for the EB1A. I94 and wife EAD are valid until November 2023 but employer wants to repatriate me still this year. Will check with a lawyer if she can still work with this EAD after expats assignment ends.
