L2 and EAD approved!
03/22/2021: Applied for L1A,L2 extension and EAD (for me). No premium processing
05/18: Paid for premium processing once USCIS confirmed that biometrics rule has been removed.
08/06: L1 approved after an RFE.
Multiple expedite requests through Emma, our congressman and senator's office sent in August and September, since my EAD expired in July. All rejected.
Tried expediting ead in the hope that it would trigger the 539 to be approved. Nop.
09/23: I got notification that ead has been approved. Realize that L2 still says "Expedite request denied" from the last time I tried. I'm not sure if the approval is real or a system glitch.
09/24: Chatted with Emma agent who confirmed that L2 is approved too! Yay!!!

congrats. when you used congressman and senator was it at same time or did you get rejected with one and then went to the other?

sam m: Different. I raised with congressman but USCIS kept taking too long to respond. so I went to the senator's office. all other expedites were by myself. I must have raised like 5 or 6. They probably got tired of rejecting them 😂

so you still had the existing congressman expedite outstanding, ie you hadn’t received a response on it when you then had senator enter another expedite ?

CX Zh: Nop. Would chat with Emma every morning at 8 and ask for status. if it was pending there was nothing I could do. if they said it's been rejected I'd ask to raise another one. If they asked me to wait a few days I'd disconnect the chat and try a different agent

do you think contacting Emma helped with your approval? I filed a stand-alone L2 EAD with Vermont Center in January, and am out of work for a month now. So frustrating!

I think I’ve done 4-5 of my own expedites and and now done 1 via congressman, and have reached out to senator just wasn’t sure if worth waiting to get congressman expedite rejected first

home boy: USCIS removed biometric requirement for some 539 applicants. L2 extension was part of it

Congratulations! So it appears their First In First Out - is a LIE. I see many applications before this date is still pending. I've tried all possible ways even through congressman, they ignored all. In 3rd world countries, Govt. agencies block files to earn extra money. I believe the situation is not that bad here but they are just blocking the files without transparent explanation. Hard to believe it's a first-world country!
