K1 Visa Craziness
#I129F #129F #K1 #K1-Visa Over one year of waiting for an NOA2. I as the petitioner completed biometrics the first week of February 2026. Radio silence since then. No criminal record of any sort, former military (with honorable discharge). Fiancé is not from a “banned” country. In case you’ve been waiting on approval just remember there are those like me who are beyond the processing times of 80% of cases. Good luck to you all.

Contacted USCIS two days ago and got the “The case is processing normally and nothing else is needed” response. Reached out to my congress representative yesterday. Shall see how this all plays out :).

any update?

I got an RFE notification on July 15 after playing tag with my congress rep to get a status update. The mail arrived on Monday July 20 and my response was mailed back the next day. I missed answering one question on the initial form I submitted. Now awaiting them to acknowledge receipt of my response and then hopefully approval not so long after that.

After 456 days my case was finally approved. Not at the finish line yet but a small victory nonetheless.
