do a typographical error request and update it on there. It would be forwarded to your file and when it's ready to be adjudicated, the officer will correct the error.

no this is not a reason to be denied, after they approve your case you will prepare your forms and submitt the documents with the correct one, even if there is an error in that part you can fix it in the very end in the interview, but if you request a change now for a typografical error is a good oportunity to check on your case earlier and probably approve it earlier. If I had in my case a typo error I would have taken advantage of it. Good luck

That’s what I thought @katerina.I sent a request to fix it.They will give me a response around 20 days.Thank you 🙏

@Katherine, doing a typographical error request doesn't make a case go faster. They would only send a file to the case and when it's time to adjudicate, the officer will see the request and make the necessary changes during adjudication. They will only make any changes/corrections when her case is current for processing.

@Tatiane, the only response you'd get is them letting you know they got your request and it would be corrected during adjudication i.e you still wait your turn until an officer pulls out your file and starts to review, then he/she will make the necessary changes along the way.

austin yes it doesnt make it go faster but it gives the opportunity to look at it faster and hopefuly approved it. I dont have the experience but I’ve read it on comments around groups I am following. I am also refering only to the I-130 standalone for a spouse abroad, I cant say anything about the adjustment cases.

@katerina I filed for a typographical error November last year and got an email it would be corrected during adjudication. My case isn't approved yet 🙂

@austin I know that.I just wanted to let them know about the error and make sure that it’s not going to be a problem.I’ll be happy if they only make the change anyways.
