K1 & K2 approved at interview, K1 has green card, K2 no change...
Hi there,
Received a call 2 weeks prior to interview for K1 saying K2 medical has been misplaced. Decided to redo medical for K1 and K2 and bring the new medicals to the interview, along with K2 as instructions were unclear.
Went for an interview 03/23, told at the interview that K2 interview was going to be waived but was missing medical and the case had moved from local office to another location. The officer managed to retrieve the case from the other location to local office but there was an error in the system leaving K2 case on read only. Both K1 & K2 told they were approved, but due to the issue with the error it would take some time to rectify. 3 days later K1 status changed to approved and received NOA and GC in the mail one & two weeks after the interview date respectively.
K2 has had no change in status on the online case file. Been in contact with uscis through ask Emma on three occasions. First time told to wait, second time told that the case was indeed at the local field office, on the third occasion managed to convince uscis to put in a request to contact from tier 2 officer. It has been 12 days since the request was put in and haven't heard anything yet.
Is there anything else we can do? Has anyone had experience with this kind of issue? We're afraid that the K2 has been lost somewhere.
