K-3 Visa Information Help!
Hi! I just wanted some information about the K-3 visa. Am I able to apply for it in America or is my spouse supposed to apply from the country he is in? Will this effect my I-130, is there any fees for filing I-129f? is it worth applying? I’ve been waiting almost a whole year for my I-130 to be approved and no response. thinking about applying for k-3 to at least have the I-130 get approved. any advice?

you apply for it, not him and it’s free for spouses. it will affect your I-130 by getting it approved faster.
think of it as a “reminder” or “nudge” to look up your case. they will see that you already have an I-130 and approve it, and throw out the K3. that’s how it works

thank you so much! I heard that as well that they don’t really give a k3 but just approve the I-130. Do I just submit the I-129f? there is no separate application for k-3?

the i129f and K3 are the same app. there will be a checkbox for married filing K3

thank you! and final question, do I fill out the application and attach any copies of proof of marriage and send it through the mail? or submit it online?

you have to mail it. there are instructions that tell you everything to include. good luck!
