K-1/Filling For I-485, I-765 & I-131
Hey Community, just have some few questions
hoping to get some answers. My fiance now wife, recently traveled to the US. We are now married and about to file Form I-485.
1. What’s the timeline for I-485? I checked USCIS processing time and it said 16 months. is this timeline for everyone or it maybe shorter if petitioner was Citizen?
2. Whats the Timeline like for K-1 , filling for EAD / Form I-765? between approval and getting card.
3. Last. should we apply for Form I-131? is it worth it? seems like it takes a long time for a lot of people not sure if by the time it’s approved and given you maybe a few months from I-485 Card.

I recently filed 1-485 for my husband. but I applied with an immigration attorney.I am a us citizen. we wanted to file for I-131 but she said by the the time it comes back his I-485 will already be approved.

We applied for all of those and submitted everything in march. We didn’t use an attorney. A month after submitting my husband did his biometrics. it’s been 6 months and no update, but I have a friend going through the same process and he received his EAD a month after filing. It’s really annoying but it seems like they work on the cases randomly. We filed I-131 and I-765 sorta just to see if they would approve it faster than the green card because sometimes it happens

I got my EAD right away (day of biometrics) and I’m still waiting for 131 after just over 4 months. it doesn’t hurt to apply but it may not be worth it. timelines are all over the place. could have a green card in 2 months or 14 months. nothing is certain and things are not processed in the order received

1. I am a US citizen. We are currently at 20 months of waiting. So it definitely doesn’t matter. It’s more of a luck of the draw with your case.
2. He got that about 3 months after applying
3. We did. Our lawyer said it would take less than a year to receive. However it took 13 months and lasts for 1 year. We really needed to leave the states and the only reason it got approved was because I got help from a Senators office from my state.
