K-1
Hi, we got approved a couple of days ago on K-1 visa, I am just finding out we will need a copy of the packet we sent to the USCIS for the embassy interview. I did not make a copy of the packet as I was not aware I would need to take it to the embassy. Any advice on what I can do?
Thanks đ

the copy you have is just a reference. you donât need the exact copy of it. you need original document in your interview just incase officer ask you. just bring copy and original important documents that you sent. just incase they ask.

the nvc should advise you of what copies and also the embassy before the interview.

it saysâŠ.. a complete form i129f that the US citizen filed with the USCIS, this should include original copies of all supporting documents submitted in connection with the i129f.
so my understanding is all the documents I sent in the packet to support my application. am I reading it wrong or misunderstanding?

itâs basically a guide of the time line and things to have prepared for each stage

when we submit a petition or form, USCIS scans the entire form and documents in the system and thatâs how it moves on and adjucated.
uscis after decision sends that original submitted form and documents to NVC and later to embassy. sometimes these papers are lost mostly in USCIS and they have only scanned copies. That is why it is recommended that you bring a copy of form submitted and originals of submitted documents to embassy in case they need it. itâs not mandatory. so, donât worry if you do not have copy of originally submitted form. Go to embassy with other things that embassy has instructed to bring in. They usually put it on their website. If you tell me the name of your embassy, I can look it for you.
