sure so today was not supposed to me my interview it was for my 10yr old son. but when we got there the agent separated me from my husband because I had file vawa before and so she wanted to make sure my now husband was not the abuser after we got that out tye way she said she would do my interview now since am there, so she asked me about my vawa case and of my now husband know about it I said yes then because we had brought our 3 kids she let me back out the room and my husband and my son went in, shorty after she let them out and called me back and asked me where I met my husband and to walk her through the relationship and who wanted to get married. when we both got out I asked my husband what she asked him he said she just asked him how we met if we have kids and he said 1 together and she asked him the child's name. and that was it

@kerry Ann baugh if you don’t mind me asking, did you closed your vawa because you were in a new relationship/marriage? or they denied you for the vawa and than you apply with your spouse?

@kerry Ann baugh my husband case is similar, and we were wondering about what they would ask, and if we will get separated, our interview in next month and our case sound similar, we also have 3 kids only one together, and my husband had file a vawa before too.

they had denied it because I got remarried before approval. but once you file vawa it goes with you for life, so they will separate you to question him it your the abuser, but they will put you back together after they have confirmed that your not
