Job Switch Post Green Card
Hello all. So, I received green card 2 months back. Now my client has offered me to join the client’s company full time and leave my current company (this company filed my i140 and i485) . So, is it advisable to join now or wait at least 6 months before leaving the sponsor company? If I join now will there be any complications / denial for Naturalization process?

as long as you have a good justification you shouldn’t. there is no such rule that you have to stay with your filing employer for a certain amount of time. if you look at it this way, you were working for them at least 2 years prior filing your application + let’s say 1 year while your applications were approved. that should be enough to explain that you just didn’t work for this company for an sponsorship but instead you were a long term employee who just found a better job opportunity

Thank You @s a for your insights, I am with my company since last 18+ years. Also my company has been recently acquired, so I think I have good grounds to support my case but just wanted to have an opinion. Thank You again.
