Jan 2021 Filler 751
anybody filed 751 last year and still waiting?
was updated to use my previous bio in April.
we've been using a layer in Chicago, he strongly recommended against filling N400 because USCIS might fuck something up

It’s simple, if your marriage is still very strong and you don’t mind having an interview then file N-400. Filing N-400 while I-751 is pending guarantees you will have to re-prove your marriage at an interview

On the other hand, filing N-400 is the best way to get your case moving

filed 751 in August 2020 and still nothing, but I applied for N400 in August 2021 in the Chicago office

@Safi I have a friend in Chicago that filed I-751 in January 2020 then N-400 in January 2021. He became a US Citizen in September, 2021

His I-751 was stuck till he filed N-400

oh wow. maybe I should do that
gbagba EllahJan 3, 2022
so what if your marriage is not strong ROCCO pls educate me more about that sentence thank you
John DianJan 3, 2022
Tom don’t file n400 trust me let i751 get approved first and then file it will take you 6 months and you get your citizenship
Rocco FortéJan 3, 2022
@gbagba if your marriage isn’t strong, your spouse might refuse to attend the interview or decide to go there and deliberately sabotage your case.
Rocco FortéJan 3, 2022
@Jon Jon I disagree with you
gbagba EllahJan 4, 2022
thank you all for the response Rocco and Jon jon...I was told the same to wait after the i751 is approved then I can go ahead and file for n400

@gbagba if your marriage is shaky then wait for I-751 to be decided first. The 5 year route is always safer than the 3 year one
