asking for a friend, she got married to an American citizen but when applying for marriage green card , she was sent an rfe for divorce certificate of her husband's previous marriage, but the husband is not giving her, just giving one excuse after another. Now she is doubting if he even got divorce so the question is can she file for vawa based on that? she also experience domestic violence.Thank you all in advance for the answers

@blessed & favored how can you check online that is she filed for divorce without me…bcz on my case i m not able to locate her ..I moved out 2 years back so

I went to the court house and picked up my husbands first marriage divorce I brought my marriage certificate with me the printed it off no questions asked.
