Hi all , I am ioe 09299 block. I submitted 485 for me and wife and daughter on jan 16th this year. got ead approved on may 16th . I have few questions.
1. I and attorney missed to file 765 for my daughter but we have valid visa till may 2026 . will it cause any issues for my daughter.
2. is switching to ead automatic or I need to update employer. I plan not to switch as it might risk status of my daughter
3. my i94 is expiring in sep 10 2025, planning to visit Canada for. day will this have negative impact on my i131
4. how do I find out whether my application is still with nbc or transferred to field office
5. how long will it take in nbc now a days to get approval. my status shows interview waived

5. NBC is working slow, they are approving cases in 6-8 months.
1. If you all will travel on visa, than shouldn’t be any issue. However, once you started using EAD/AP than technically your visa will invalid- Someoen else might hight on this.
2. You have to email you employer for new EAD.
3. Same like point 1.
4. You can find out with API code the location of your petition, however that link doesn’t work for everyone but you can try it

@sudarshana Malya most like you will get 485 approval next couple of weeks, I noticed one pattern, once your EAD approved after two three months then you will get GC quickly. goodluck

@mak dely it's been almost 8 months since my EAD approved (no AP). Still waiting for GC

if you have visa, do not shift, I.e. reenter the country on AP until GC is approved. will save you hassles if GC has any issues.
