Is there something wrong with Work permit for SIJS?
I know they don't grant deferred action anymore but what about the ppl who already applied and waited for months? July 6 would be the date I could send an inquiry. Is there still hope for us? The visa Bulletin stopped already and doesn’t seem to move to my PD not after at least 3 years could be more

“USCIS will no longer grant deferred action to SIJ petitioners whose visa numbers are not yet available… and will no longer accept or adjudicate Form I-765 filed under category (c)(14) based on a grant of deferred action.”
So from my understanding, since they used the word “adjudicate”, then it is very likely that people with pending 765 cases will be ignored and forgotten…

@Rajveer R I’m not a lawyer and that’s just my personal interpretation and opinion, not a fact, so don’t take it really seriously. Even lawyers can’t make any promises or anything like that these days…

@Lily L I don't know where did u get the adjudicate from but I read from volume 6 - Part J- chapter 4 and also their link https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/policy-manual-updates/20250606-SIJDeferredAction.pdf
both cited that deffered action would be remains

ChatGPT told me this…I don’t know where it got it from. i opened your link and read the policy change announcement and it does seem like they didn’t use the word “adjudicate “ at all.

@Lily L I check the law, I'll send an inquiry tomorrow then a CIS Ombudsman and if in October if there's nothing new I'm ready to paying for a Mandamus
