is there something wrong?
so the only thing a received so far is the receipt notice from USCIS and I filed in October 2024. Been waiting for an update for the next step but NOTHING. is anybody in the same situation as me? I just need to know for peace of mind and feel that I'm not alone. #I-130

I think you guys should send an inquiry. After receipt of notice, you should get an “actively reviewing” notice/text.

we got EAD approved after 10 month i130 after 11 months .you have to be patient I know it’s annoying but there is nothing you can do

@j K do you know the NVC waiting time for Egypt after DQ. Like after you became documentary qualified, how long did it take for you to get an interview letter.

@shenni law the USCIS is the longest on processing time and it depends on the status of your petitioner. usually if your petitioner is a citizen it taken about 9 to 14 months. But if you are been pertitioned by a green card holder, it might take up to 3 years.

if it’s just a standalone I-130, they take about 14 months :( they’re currently on Oct 2023 approvals

@j K so for spousal visa we go through USCIS which is the first stage, after been approved by USCIS, the process moves to NVC where they verify the documents for you to become documentary qualified. Once you become document qualified, NVC communicates with your country Embassy to schedule a visa appointment for you. This appointment date depends on your country processing time.
