is it a scam that they can sponsor asylum applicant for green card?
Hi. I have an asylum application pending. I recently saw online that a job offer said that they are sponsoring asylum applicant for green card. is it a scam? anyone here or know anyone who experienced this before?

Just do your due diligence by verifying the company and contact person information. Lots of scammers out there.@Sarah nahhh

@Sarah nahhh I’m not an attorney but adjusting status from pending asylum to green card might be tricky if not impossible. If you had any unlawful stay then I’d say impossible. But let’s say you entered on visa and then applied for asylum while your visa was valid then asylum might act as bridge to adjust status.
however, if you’re in immigration court then not possible.
Consult an experienced immigration attorney, we are just regular people like you here and don’t have specialized knowledge.

you can’t really get a green card without a legal entry…. I’d take that in count. investigate the employer
