IR1 and 10 year green card by mistake.
I've by mistake received both IR1 and 10 year green card. What I mean is at both times my marriage wasn't 2 years old yet so I wasn't eligible for neither IR1 nor a 10 year green card. Since people said I might get some issues while renewing the card or applying for citizenship so I informed the USCIS and filed I-90. This was done one year and half after my admission to the USA and two weeks later after filing I went for biometrics. My concerns/questions are followed:
1) Why didn't they ask me to send back my current green card? on the instructions form it's saying to attach it but I couldn't because I filed online and while doing so they only asked me to upload pictures of the front and back of the green card.
2) Since that's error on the USCIS end, are they going to expedite the process meaning to count up to now to issue a new green card so I can file I-751 to remove conditions on time since it's going to be soon 21 months since I became a permanent resident?
or are they're going to follow the current processing time which is 16 months to issue a new green card which would make me wait for 4 years just to file for I-751 to remove conditions?
