Inviting a family
Hi guy, i wanted to ask, does anyone know how can my citizen brother invite my aunt to visit us? its a 68 y/o lady, with no kids nor marriage ever, she helped my mom and dad raise us so we want to spend Christmas with her here. She's been to the us consulate a few times and they denied her visa saying she doesnt have a reason to go back to her country. we just want to put something there to let consulate know shes not staying and everything on her trip will be covere. please help.

Which country is she. Per my understanding and cases I've heard, if she doesn't have anything concrete to prove that she'll return to in hee home country, they'll keep denying her. example, job, property, husband and kids, etc. Unless you find another way for her to come

@enoch its exactly whats happening, but i have read that with an affidavit from a us citizen we can assure usa that she will just stay for a week or two.

shes from DR

Well your reasons may be concrete with Evidence that she's gonna stay for just a week or two but the Embassy is not gonna deal with your evidence, but rather what she has that she can return to. Maybe you'll have to find another way out for her. Maybe try Canada Express Entry, or something else.

no, we want to do the right thing, no express entry.

@Ms R write an official letter explaining to consular why she’s visiting and how long she would stay, then attach your us passport page, tax returns and anything that confirm your address and make sure you state your address in the letter and let them know she would be staying with you and you will cover all the financial costs
