it’s over 🙌🏼Jun 7, 2023
there’s a civic app with questions,I studied every day
DoIt ForMeJun 7, 2023
@it’s over 🙌🏼 which one? it’s so many. I want something with just one answer to focus on lol
DoIt ForMeJun 7, 2023
@it’s over 🙌🏼 do you remember the questions that they asked you?
it’s over 🙌🏼Jun 8, 2023
@DoIt ForMe you can print the 100 questions from the website that’s what I did and studied from and as far as the questions I don’t remember I’d have to find the study guide bc think I circled which they were
DoIt ForMeJun 8, 2023
@it’s over 🙌🏼 ok that’s what I’m studying from. also do it have to answered one word answer or you can answer in a sentence as long as the answer is correct? that’s the part that’s getting me 😂😂 I’m answering in a full sentence because that’s the only way I can remember than to just said one word

You can answer full sentences if that works for you. I found the civics app useful as it will give you links to the answers to current position holders in state and federal government (names of Governor, Representatives and Senators, Chief of Justice etc) also there's also a randomised multiple choice test to help you study for the civics test. I used the app after reading the booklet. I also spent a day making and learning off flash cards too a couple days before my interview but that was probably already too much. I think just the act of writing helped me remember the facts. It took me four days total of earnest studying, reviewing and testing myself, but everyone learns differently. Do what suits you but make sure you know all 100 answers.

To find the right app, in your preferred app store, search for "USCIS civics test” and make sure USCIS (Department of Homeland Security) is the developer.

one more thing...sorry don't mean to spam your post, but YouTube is helpful too. There are different types of simulated interviews and they show you the typical process and some examples of difficult interviews and how to respond/behave. I would say be courteous, cooperative and direct, no chit chatting small talk as everything you say can be used against you, and try best to radiate calm and positivity. best of luck, you got this🤞
DoIt ForMeJun 9, 2023
@Mo G thank you 🫶🏽. and yes I’ve started studying. Did they asked you any yes/no questions?
DoIt ForMeJun 9, 2023
@Mo G why did they ask you all 10 questions
M
Mo MoneyJun 10, 2023
The yes/no questions are related to the eligibility part of your application and they'll ask random ones and make sure you answer verbally the same as on your form, for example: Do you owe overdue taxes? Have you ever received any military or weapons training? stuff like that. also, they asked me all 10 civics questions because their tech systems went offline so instead of getting realtime check on my answers, it had to be written down by the officer and then checked at the end.
DoIt ForMeJun 10, 2023
@Mo G I mean definition. I see some people said they’ve asked for definitions
DoIt ForMeJun 10, 2023
@Mo G lol oh! Ook. I see;I hope mines go smoothly and no system errors. I’ll keep you posted. my interview 7/12
M
Mo MoneyJun 10, 2023
@DoIt ForMe no I didn't get asked any definitions thankfully, I'm a native English speaker but pretty crap at defining things lol 😁. All the best for your interview!
DoIt ForMeJun 10, 2023
@Mo G thank you 😊
it’s over 🙌🏼Jun 12, 2023
@DoIt ForMe I studied all the answer just in case because some of the questions say name two while the others don’t so I memorized all of the answers. just answer with the answers no need to make it a sentence like for example who is the president,Joel Biden,that’s it but if sentences work for you go ahead me I kept it short 🤣
DoIt ForMeJun 12, 2023
@it’s over 🙌🏼 😂😂😂ok. thank you ☺️
it’s over 🙌🏼Jun 12, 2023
@DoIt ForMe if there is any update between now and to the interview date you can let them know during the interview
DoIt ForMeJun 12, 2023
@it’s over 🙌🏼 will do. did they take your passport from your home country before oat ceremony? I got vacation 2 days after the interview and I’m wondering if I don’t get swear in same day do I keep my passport and can still use it. because my state do not have a passport office so I won’t be able to do same day and expedite through 3rd parties is super expensive
it’s over 🙌🏼Jun 12, 2023
I would advise against traveling bc you never know when they might schedule your oath and they took the passport to check dates of travels but they don’t keep it. if it’s a quick trip like 2-3 days maybe,they will ask you during oath if there was any international travels so you have to update that
DoIt ForMeJul 14, 2023
@it’s over 🙌🏼 I passed ☺️. thank you again 🤗. waiting on oath to be scheduled
it’s over 🙌🏼Jul 14, 2023
@DoIt ForMe I’m glad 😀 yay 🎊🍾
