interview scheduled
should I hire a lawyer to go with me and my husband to the interview? our field office is in Oakland Park, FL and im a U.S. citizen I-130 and this is my husband case I-485 , anyone went without a lawyer ?

we did our interview without a attorney and it went smoothly. I had a misdemeanor case in dade county which was dismissed. took all documents from the court for the case and all other evidence.

@J Curi when did you submit your cases? My case belongs to Oakland Park as well, but I haven’t received any news after biometrics since February 2026, no interview, not even work permit. But I think I would go with a lawyer to the interview when it is scheduled, just in case although I have never had any overstay nor any other wrongful acts

I went for my interview without an attorney! It was perfectly fine! Just make sure to upload EVERYTHING before you go.
