i got scheduled for interview today and work permit got approved 2 days ago saturday

My interview was on August 14th at the Boston field office. We arrived at 2:00 pm, which was the scheduled time, but we were only called in later. The officer asked me a series of questions and also mentioned that my visa had been revoked in 2019 because I was a student who left school. I didn’t know about this, but she corrected it on the spot and asked me to sign on a tablet at the end. I’m not sure if everyone signs that, but I did. She also asked about my background, including some past court cases I had — I explained that I had three cases that were all dismissed. At the end of the interview, she told me that everything was approved verbally, though she did not give me any paper. She explained that I should see the update on my portal within the next couple of days. So far, however, I haven’t received any updates on the portal or by mail, not even for my I-485, I-130, or I-765.

@Ann W yes I had my interview July 24th and still waiting to be approved. my ead/work permit was only approved last Friday and I received my card today. So yes it happened to me. it’s not normal but yes took me 9 months to get my work permit
