hey some persons are saying 1-2 months, some are saying 2-3 months and 4 months the most is what I’ve heard, I’m also awaiting my interview in Guyana. I got documentarily qualified on Jan 14th, 2025

@Amisha Loknauth my husband is waiting to get DQ but I wanted know how long it takes to get an Interview because I heard 2-3 months it takes to get an interview.

@My journey 🫶🏽 ❣️ it was amazing. I got approved on spot! and the consular officer said I will receive an email with instructions to pick up within a couple of days. When I checked my visa status online it said it’s issued and will be ready to pick up soon🥳

I’m beyond excited to finally close the gap between my husband and I 🥳

@My journey 🫶🏽 ❣️ thank you, the questions were: where did we meet? how long have we been together? have I ever met his family? have my husband ever met my family? if yes when and how? how do you communicate? what are your shared interests? what does your husband do for work? how many persons were at your wedding? were any of your husband’s family present at the wedding? when was the first time my husband came to visit me? my address?

it’s two interviews the first interview requires to ready up your passport with 2 passport size pictures, marriage certificate, birth certificates for you and the petitioner, w2s and tax transcripts along with your affidavit of support. there you hand in the documents and they go through them and ask you basic questions about who is calling you, your address, if you’ve ever been married. so they collect them and send them over for the consular officer to review in the second interview.

@Amisha Loknauth Oh okay, did you need to go in on a different date before your interview? Because someone I know has an interview on April 14th, and the embassy called them two weeks before their interview and told them to go in yesterday—but they didn't mention anything about bringing documents.

they probably got an earlier date, embassy probably move up their interview but I think that only happens if you request it

but no just one interview

@Amisha Loknauth no she didn't. she said that they just called to tell her to go on the 7th. I will ask her. I just saw guyana embassy uploaded that they are doing pre screening to check all the civil documents. so I guess that's why they called her
