interview for I485
case has been saying interview ready to be scheduled for 5 months now. anyone experiencing the same thing. I filled in April 2021, I have my work authorization, but no update on my i485. I’m living in Utah.

It can takes weeks, months, a year or more. I've been waiting for more than 8 months.

Chris if it says case is ready for interview you need to confirm with them just to make sure they didn’t send in an interview letter and you missed it. OR call them up and confirm OR write to USCIS Humanitarian Division. Hope this helps

@ Chris Kready to be scheduled for interview is nothing to worry about...if the narrtive was Interview scheduled then I would worry...but chat to emma and see if your in the queue for your interview..they are many factors why the interview is not yet scheduled not with you but at your field office...even tho mine took say 2.5 months from reedy to be scheduled to interview scheduled...chat with emma man and see

I'm PD March 3 interview was scheduled on the 20th. Yours is coming up soon, they're going faster now! Also Utah!

oh I’m sorry! It can be frustrating I was there. We filed in Dec 20’, got my biometric in August 21’, EAD same month. I got my interview notice Jan 22’ and my interview was last week in SLC office. I checked with Emma since September 21’ about the interview. Try that option! Good luck 🍀

Y CM your interview was about a week after the notice? That's so odd. So little time to prepare. How was it? Ours is coming up in less than two weeks. What documents did they ask from you guys? You're marriage based, right?

Actually, was the same two weeks in advance Jan 22’ and scheduled for February. It is marriage based and it was almost 30-40 minutes interview. Lawyer did a mock interview before and she asked me to have: joint bank checking and credit printed since the day after submitting docs, 20 pictures with dates and places. Joint bills, affidavits from friends and family and originals docs. We got a senior officer who could approve it on the spot. It depends usually a junior officer will ask for more docs.

Our interview was yesterday and it was approved! It was similar to what you described here. It's nice to know things end well after a long wait.
