Hi all, Please anyone experienced any issue with expired home country passport during the interview process? Mine just expired and I was just scheduled for an interview today. I don’t know if I can get it renewed before my interview date of 30th. Do they actually check the home country passport? Thanks

if you have a valid ID you don’t need to bring the passport to the interview but sometimes USCIS asked people to bring their passport in the interview

you won’t even have enough time to renew. just take it and any other government identification card.

it’s ok if passport is expired. They didn’t even look at my ID. just scanned my fingerprint to ID me when we got into the office with the agent

it doesn’t matter if it’s expired or not it won’t be a problem

As with others they did not check my passport or even talk about it in the interview. Remeber the rest of us in progress when you get to be a citizen ;)
