@Davies munks if you don't mine me asking which country your from cause I had the same thing that the agent did and more than likely ur going to get rfe for a waiver or something for misrepresentation

@Davies munks they put common law marriage in mine but I don't think they marked marriage keep me updated when you get your rfe cause i apply back for my i485 recently so I'll have a idea

I was required to submit an I-601 waiver due to a misunderstanding regarding my marital status; I believed I was still married, but my husband had divorced me at the time of my visa application, during which I indicated my marital status as married. I am grateful that the I-601 waiver was approved; however, I am still awaiting the issuance of my green card.

@i can't wait to see if the green card is really green. I have a similar issue the agent that did my visa application put that I had common in law husband so uscis believe that I was married but I recently submitted my i485 again so im to see what's going to.happen cause I alrdy did an interview for i130 approve.

if you have never been married you should have said you have never been married and it was a mistake. during my K1 interview they told me my previous visa application that I filled married in my application and I said that was a mistake that I haven't been married in all honesty which I wasn't . and he said go and seat down Nd think about it ,I said there is nothing to think about because I have never been , he said we don't want u in the future to say u want to file for your wife and child I said I don't have any ..then he said ok your visa is granted .. it was all error on my first application he said who filed the application I said I did I mentioned all I put in the application purpose of travel and even the date,he said u are right all what is in here is what you filled previously.

@Lag Ng I did explain to him that was the honest mistake, I have never been married before. He stopped the interview and said that I will have to have something from my country stating that I have never been married. Very unfortunate. congratulations to your approval

@Davies munks I hoping to get the i485 approval soon I don't whats it's called in Zambia but for me I got certificate of non impediment which shows I have never been married in my country before but all the best @Lag Ng it all depends on the officer you get when I had my Interview I had no idea the travel agent put that info in and I explain and told the officer I didn't no but sometimes it still doesn't make a difference it's just life I guest.

Davies is shouldn't be an issue, well they can't deny you based on that so they might send you a rfe.

We had some issues with the agent that filled out our application and we just had to explain it in the interview, and the IO told us she recommends approval. We are still waiting final review.

@mon c Did you accompany CNI letter with other documents or you sent in just the certificate! and did you get rfe before you got the letter?

based on my previous marriage and interview that's when I found out abt what the agent put so I got a certificate of non impediment and when I got remarried I initially submitted it with my now husband and application

@Davies munks i hope so too just got to wait and see cause I'm really praying that I don't have to file a waiver for anything since I gave them cni certificate plus explain what happen I didn't get rfe or anything my first marriage didn't work out so after I re married I just submitted it with everything else needed.

@mon c Nothing yet. got a advance parole the next day. cause I was asked to come back to their office and apply, which I did and was approved same day. I sent in the letter of impediment, but nothing yet has come out

@Davies munks so did you ended up getting a rfe for cni certificate or you just brought it in. Hopefully you'll get good news soon I'm still waiting also
