Interview !
Hey guys! I have an upcoming interview in June, and I have so much questions about it. 1. : Does my husband needs to file again I-864 form because what we submitted it’s been more than a year. So I feel we have to do the new one right? 2.: What is your experience? What do they asked you? 3.: What do we have to wear? I know it’s not as important but important to show respect. 4: how many months of bank statements did you bring for the interview? or what is required? We have these assets and supporting evidence: - Pictures - wedding pictures -car loan on both names - 3 years of lease agreement - car insurance papers on both names -work emergency contracts - shared bank accounts/statemants - Costco card is anything else we should bring? do they keep every evidence? how we should prepare? should we do the original and make copy of everything? Interview is at San Antonio TX thanks!!

Hi there, 1) Form I-864: It’s valid indefinitely, but bring updated financial docs if anything’s changed. 2) Interview: Be ready to discuss your relationship: how you met, daily life, future plans, and family details. 3) Attire: Business casual, simple and neat works best. 4) Docs to Bring: Recent bank statements (3 months), tax return, pay stubs, and an employment letter. Add joint bills, insurance, or letters as extra proof. Bring originals + copies, neatly organized. Hope this helps. I shared this info based on my experience and knowledge and some help from SkipLegal. Good luck!

@SkipLegal Help thank you! My concern is, our bills are can not be shared. we live an area where they can only allow one person to hold account. But our bank statement shows we pay it. Also our phone bill is also show one person but holding both of our phone numbers. is that an issue? We don’t have any insurance because we can’t afford it with this high prices, but we have car insurance for both cars.

@God will make a way 🙏 I love Jesus isn’t the letters supposed to be notarized? that’s why my friends don’t wanna do it because they don’t wanna get called in for it.

@Lili Don’t stress if utility bills can’t be in both names. USCIS knows some companies only allow one account holder. Just make sure your joint bank statements show both of you paying these bills, which proves shared finances. For the phone bill, it’s fine if only one name is on the account, as long as both numbers are listed and you can explain this at the interview. Show your car insurance in both names and other documents showing your shared life. The goal is to provide a mix of evidence that reflects your reality and be ready to explain anything that isn’t joint due to local rules.
