Inquiry Regarding EAD Approval Status - AOS
Hi,
I recently checked USCIS docs tab that showed my Employment Authorization Document (EAD) was approved by the National Benefits Center (NBC) the day after my appointment at the Baltimore Application Support Center. However, despite the approval, the online status of my case still shows as "Actively being reviewed." It has now been two weeks since the approval, and there hasn't been any change in status. I'm concerned that there might have been an oversight by the USCIS officer in updating the approval in the system.
Could you please advise on how long it typically takes for the status to be updated after EAD approval? Additionally, what is the estimated timeframe for the delivery of the EAD card once it has been approved?

You both need to submit a service request stating card not received after 30 days of your approval.

please chat with the live agent in Emma and ask for tracking info. I think the card is on the way if not they will tell you it's not produced yet.

thanks for the tip @p A. I asked Emma, and the agent responded that it's currently under production. It shouldn't take too long to print, but here we are still waiting.

@m a Sometimes there's error in production and you won't be notified of this, unless u enquire. So if there's an error you gotta wait 30 to put in the request.

you will soon get an update that the card was produced ans it will be delivered a few days afterwards. It happened the same to me

wow that was really fast! my submission date is Jan 2, 2024. Just did my biometrics 2 days ago and now waiting for EAD to be approved. Hopefully you'll get your card soon.

@ m a now check the status. Once it says produce contact Emma again and ask for the tracking info. most of the time they update the tracking info after they delivered the card.

@Natalie N Your approval letter might be available online, or the status might change to approved 2-3 days later. For me, I could only see the letter but no status update. Thank you, and all the best to you too.

@p A As suggested, I received the tracking number from Emma and am hoping to receive the card this week. However, no tracking details are available on the uscis account.

May I ask where you found your approval letter on myUSCIS? Was it under I485 documents tab or I765 documents tab?

@Natalie N Since it was for work authorisation, it was attached in the i765 docs tab only.
