initial or renewal for 765 form
i am applying for ead under Vawa, on the first page there are three boxes;1. initial application. 2. replacement 3. renewal. does anyone know which one that I should select? I have an expired ead that I got from I-30 but i don’t know if i should choose renewal since its a different case.

you are renewing it doesn’t matter what the previous category was, its an i-765. it would be a renewal but you would have to attach the receipt i-797c for your i-485 or your i-360 approval notice.

If it's a different case then you will have to change the category either c09 or c31

You must select Renewal and for eligibility category, put C9 in the box# 27 on page# 3 of Form I-765. There are 3 boxes---put C in first box, put 9 in 2nd box, and leave 3rd box empty.
**You must attach a copy of i485 receipt notice, copy of expired EAD card (front and back side) along with other docs they ask as per list.
