I'm still here
It's a bit unfair and sad to see that those from 2025 are moving faster. My husband wants to contact Congress. Do you think this is a good idea? My timeline, and nothing has changed for almost 8 months. We've heard news from many acquaintances who started their processes this year, 2025, and already have interviews. My process has been stalled since I sent the evidence, which only took me 5 days to search.

mine has been 15 months already,my husband just contacted the congress last week and they have emailed USCIS on our behalf. it is so exhausting and frustrating.

@yito Dee It all depends on the processing center. some processing centers have backlogs while others are in current standing. I'm in my season of waiting.

@Judz W @Lilian A Do you think it's a good idea if my husband contacts Congress now, or if we continue to wait? It's worth mentioning that I'm the one who thinks about it a little more, but my husband is determined. I'm dying for my son to meet my mother, but I don't know what to do.

@yito Dee You have been waiting a very short amount of time. I waited 6 months for any change after my RFE. Your speed on sending the reply has little to do with waiting. Figure out who has your file (your field office) the NBC does not adjudicate AOS. They are all decided at a field office. NBC only decides the 765 and 131.
I would highly recommend not contacting a congress person. You are far away from being outside of normal processing times even for the fastest offices. The congress person will not help you and you want to be on their good side and asking for help too soon will not work in your favor. Ypu got your 765 fast and that is great. I waited over 6 months.

I'm in the same position as you and yes it's sad and stressful seeing all the 2025 approved or have interviews, but I don't think you should contact your congress at this point, once a rfe is requested the time gets push back more than the average

yes. it’s so frustrating. and no one will help. the Emma’s of the world might as well not be there because they don’t help at all. so frustrating. today she said to me that I just have to accept that the officers decide what cases go where and when and I just have to wait. then she “hung up”.

same here. waiting for 7 months.

it’s best not to contact the congressman as in most cases it caused further delays; I’ve witnessed one first hand in my friends case who had an interview In June 2023 and is still waiting after an medical RFE 6 months ago!
