I’m looking for anyone in a similar situation with an F2B I-130
My priority date is February 8, 2019, and my case was originally paper-filed with a WAC receipt number. It was recently migrated to ELIS and assigned an IOE receipt number.
My priority date is now current, but my USCIS status still shows “Case Was Received” and I have not received an approval or NVC Welcome Letter.
Has anyone with a paper-filed I-130 that was migrated to ELIS in August 2026 received an approval after the migration, especially after their priority date became current?
If so, could you please share your ELIS migration date, priority date, approval date, and whether you received an NVC Welcome Letter?
Any category (F1, F2B, F3, F4, etc.) would be helpful.
Thank you!

@emela em My observation is even though the date is current and supposedly there are visas available, I-130 are not being reviewed as you should expect. I was wondering if this is the case of mandamus.

@Za daughter S I’m hoping we start seeing approvals soon and that the ELIS migration means our cases are finally moving toward adjudication. Please keep us updated if you see any approvals!

USCIS is simply can’t cope with the sudden surge in cases. Even if they approved all I-130, the NVC would still need time to process the backlog. I think they need time to digest.

my priority date is in march 2013 f3 category India.

@Hayden Ca you are right. It has been several sudden jumps month by month and since they were paper filed, they will need some time for the approvals.

Has anyone heard at least one case that got approval?

same like you , PD march 2018 f2b and still waiting for approval
Za daughter SSep 9, 2026
but here is my point, folks, if you are not in a banned category and don’t have any issues with your application, you should have already gotten your answer if you were approved or denied (and your PD is current) after almost 8-9 years of waiting, but you don’t. so I was wondering if mandamus is the only way to get this answer. And what happens if everyone files it at the same time. if you follow this subject closely, many unused visas in family category (your visas by the way) are being allocated to the work visas because USCIS can’t process your applications before the end of the fiscal year (and they been doing this for years). or can they? or simply don’t want to?

@Za daughter S I dont have any information about that. one attorney I usually follow from my community is saying that cases migrates to elis are taking more time to get approved compare to electronic ones. It is just his observation.

@Gaby Kababa 🍄 did you contact uscis about your case?
Gaby Kababa 🍄Sep 10, 2026
@emela em yes , and they gave me a mild response ( useless/diplomatic answer)

Unfortunately there are many in the same situation with us. Not much we can do. After the bulletin allows for NVC processing, calling USCIS and telling them that they are delaying the case as the bulletin allows for processing is useless. One attorney is saying in the group to reach out to your congressman, as they can reach out to USCIS

any one can share IOC STARING 5digit number ..I will help you ..for next part
Za daughter SSep 11, 2026
@emela em but this is the whole point is to tell USCIS that they are delaying the processing when they have to be processesing your case now. USCIS is simply NOT doing or refusing to do their job. Hacking Immigration Law on YouTube says the same thing. I am not marketing them here but I agree with what they say and I see the same.

@emela em yes i did , but their answer was useless , they told me to wait for unknown period of time and they DON'T use visa bulletin as a guide
emela emSep 20, 2026
@Gaby Kababa 🍄 I can see from what ppl are posting that they are late in approvals. One guy posted in a group that his pd became current in april and he got the welcome letter in july
