if you’ve applied for green card through marriage you can now be deported too
Just saw on all news websites that from now on even those who have a pending I-485 will be allowed to be deported as well. For the first time I’m actually scared.

@a n I saw an article on NBC news to that effect...that new policy will prevent individuals out of status from adjusting status through marriage or family. Not sure if that will really take effect or will get booted. But further reading suggests this has always been the case and thus unlawful status doesn't apply to those married to USC or even vawa applicants

This is nothing new, even before if you applied fraudulently they could still deport you. Nothing is guaranteed until you get your greencard and even with a greencard if you break certain laws they can revoke your residency and deport you.

@Kerry S you’re right. US Citizens spouses and vawa applicants have unlawful presence waiver which is same as ever 😍
