i765 status update fingerprints applied
Hi all, my case status just changed to fingerprints applied. Any idea if that could mean they are finally working on my EAD combo card? My PD is Feb 1st 2021. Applying concurrently i140, i485 EB2 category. Thanks.

Unfortunately it is not a guarantee that they are working on this. I applied my case in Jan2021 nd they changed my status to fingerprint applied in Mar2021, but I am still waiting for my combo card 🥺 Almost 1 year

@Luciana F, did you actually make fingerprints before they changed your status or they just reused previous ones? Is your i765 related with i485 as well? Just a curious thing. My husband’s EAD was approved 3 weeks ago after an expedite request. His i765 also changed from card sent to fingerprints applied. Maybe they are just changing the status of cases with similar PD. Or they are just the most inefficient public office.

Ana - my biometrics were reused and applied in March 2021 after submitting in February. PD Feb 4th, I am in month 11 - hoping they approve in January.

@Ana G C they used the previous one. My i765 is based on i485 as well. Thanks for sharing your husband’s case status.

Ana, any chance you can share some details on how you got your husband's EAD expedited? what was the reason and docs to support it?

@Kate. We didn't have huge medical bills, just the regular ones. However, my husband worked in a public school as teaching assistant and had to stop working in May. We claimed he was not working for 4 months but overall we emphasized that number workers in public school became critical during the pandemic and his lost was significantly impacting his school. We attached rent bills, insurance bills since he lost his health insurance after stop working, letter from the school principal and marriage certificate to prove it is affecting family economy. FYI, we started 2 ER in parallel; one with our congressman and another directly with USCIS. The congressman was denied but USCIS approved it. I think if you work for heath or public jobs you have also chances to get it approved, otherwise you need to justify significant economy impact. I hope this helps you. Good luck!
