can someone from nigeria help are if anyone has experienced this my husband is from nigeria and our interview received letter intent to deny cause of my husband divorce decree. I guess they have different ways for divorce then in america we can see everything online and in nigeria where my husband lives was I think he said a customary divorce in his town courts. what do we need to do?

well all they do need , for most divorce are decree of absolute no final discussion nd it all depend but I do not know the one you use for us

he has a divorce decree but immigration want accept it so r u saying he has to get the divorce papers from their higher court

he went to court in his town and got the divorce I hope this makes sense I get so confused on some of nigerian laws and rules. do u think it best to get a lawyer

get a lawyer please and will advice to get a good Nigeria lawyer and reason why I said Nigeria lawyer is bcos they know what’s up and will tell you exactly what to do and where to get a proper documents! good luck and can you tell more about ur details like when did you guys married, when is ur Pd, and ur field office as well how long it’s take to get the intent to deny latter after the interview?

we started this 2016 married apply for 1_751 in 2019 had to send more information in 2019 interview 1-2021 now this. thanks for information

you can still get a divorce decree from the court in Nigeria. just ask a lawyer to help you in good time. good luck

hi… if his previous marriage was a traditional marriage then he’s good with the customary divorce but if the previous marriage was from a Registry then he needs a divorce from a higher court
