I751 Vermont
I just noticed that case processing time went from 23.5 months to 24 months for Vermont. so I now I need to wait more time to even submit a request. it’s been a long 24 months, still no update. should have started n400 last year, and now I regret that decision. not sure if I should start n400 now or should I wait for one more month. Feeling really frustrated., I have Credit from an airlines which expires in Jun and I cannot use it without a non expired GC. long story short, airlines refused to board me with expired GC and extension letter, but instead of money refund they gave me credit

I don’t understand, all you need is your country’s valid passport . airlines don’t need your GC or none of that information, that information is only for immigration not with airlines

this is for international travel, some airlines need an non expired GC to transit through their country , few such are Lufthansa , aircananda…

@asma asma I traveled for the Christmas holiday internationally with my expired green card and extension letter on United Airlines and I didn't have any problem.

I was traveling outside United States and those two airlines required me to provide an unexpired GC or else show them transit visa , since I would be transiting through Germany or cananda and country I come from is not allowed to transit without transit visa for European countries. May be others did not have problem but I was not allowed to board so I hv to book through different airline on the last min.

potomac processing time changed to 32.5 months hehe. so we know the frustration. I travelled with united airlines using expired gc and extension letter last year and didnt have any issues. i travelled 3 times last year internationally with different airlines, didnt face any issue whatsover. talk to the agents on the phone once, they would sort this out. if the issue persists, get an appointment with your local field office and get an i551 stamped on your passport.

@asma asma I think you should go ahead and put in your n400. my i751 stayed from 2019 until 2023, I applied for n400 in 2022 and had a joint interview for both in December 2023 and yes this was Vermont

@Adaobi ike what month did you submit your N400, trying to know how long it typically takes to get an N400 interview from submission. I’m preparing to submit mine in a couple of months.

@J D I submitted mine in june of 2022, I used a lawyer and she used the hard copy paper for the filing. I hear those who do theirs online doesn't take that long (I don't know how true it is). so from june 2022 my interview was fixed in December 2023
