i751 submitting additional evidene
Hello,
My husband filed his i751 back in September 2023 and the case is still being reviewed
We submitted all the evidence that was available during filing, we wanted to know if we need to continuously add more evidence of our bonafide marriage to the case. We moved to a different city after we filed and have filled the address change online on both of our USCIS profile.
Now the case has been pending for 1.6 years
wondering adding additional new evidence after date of filing helps to process the case faster
Please share your experiences and knowledge
Thank you! ππ

As of Apr 2025, I-751 processing typically takes more than 12β18 months, so delays are normal.
Unless USCIS requests it via an RFE, I'd recommend not to send anything on your own. That said, if you have significant, relevant updates, you can send them in with your receipt number and a cover letter explaining why.
Hope you have updated the new address online. You can also file Form AR-11 to double-check theyβve got it on record.

@nina cam I am a citizen now and just got my citizenship in February, is there a way to update or let them know that I am a citizen and move the case faster?

@SkipLegal Help yeap we updated as soon as we moved in the website but we still had old address in the forms that we submitted so was wondering if that may have caused delay, he did not had to go for biometrics as they could pull from previous one, thank you so much for the information

@Prakriti Shrestha I keep adding more evidence every once and awhile, if It does not help, it would not hurt! I do not think that being a citizen would help with I-751 for your spouse since you have to have your citizenship for 3 years before your spouse become eligible for the three years rule. Though, it would not be bad idea to update it since it might update the category on the new Green card. I hope this help!
