Applied to removed condition on my marriage based GC since July 2023, finger printed on July 26 and went back to actively viewing your case. I have been eligible to apply for citizenship since July 2024 Should I apply or wait for my green card to be approved?
Any one here been approved and how long did it take you?

if your marriage is over 3 years, you can apply for citizenship. This way you can speed up i-751 process simultaneously get your citizenship.

you could’ve been a citizen by now if you applied in July 2024.

I don't recommend you to apply for citizenship if you don't have your 10 years green card, its doesn't speed the process at all people think that way

@dany sui why? you can apply and most likely will have a combo interview.

@dany sui for someone who was asking when to apply for 10yr gc back in 2023.. you must still not have your citizenship. but if you are married to a citizen and you had a conditional gc. Conditional GC is 2 years..90 days prior to your conditional expiring you file a i751 so you still have status in the U.S… and 90days prior to your third year you can Definitely apply for N400. so you dont have to wait for your 10yr gc. and if your i751 is still in processing and your N400 interview pops up first you most likely get a dual interview.
so you wont even have to carry a 10yr GC if you pass your Naturalization interview.
so in terms of speed.. it’s just a faster way to become a citizen and not have to wait and extra year or two to get a citizenship.
and in terms of processing yes sometimes applying for the N400 does speed it up because i751 can take up to 24-30 months on average from history provided to everyone online… depending on USCIS and your luck.… on average when you apply for N400 it is roughly 2-18months to get an interview. normally an avg of 7-10 months.
so you are comparing a 24-30 months to 12-24months.(because you probably applied for N400 90days prior to your 3yr anyways. so you in a 9-11 month wait in i751 and starting N400 wait)..
it is not people think that way.. it just mathematically is faster as long as USCIS doesnt lose anything.
