@James k I’m in a very similar situation. My priority date is November 2021 in the same employment-based category. My EAD/AP, and my I-485J was also approved, but my I-485 is still pending. I haven’t had an interview yet either, and at this point I’m not even sure if one will be scheduled since many employment-based cases were being waived in the past but interviews are being scheduled in the present . From what I’ve learned, an approved I-485J is generally a positive sign because it means USCIS has accepted the Supplement J and confirmed that the qualifying job offer (or portability under AC21, if applicable) meets the employment-based adjustment requirements. However, it isn’t an indication that the I-485 approval is imminent. The final decision still depends on visa availability, completion of background/security checks, and overall case processing. Unfortunately, with the current delays, there are many people with approved I-485Js who are still waiting for months. So while it’s better to have the I-485J approved than pending, it doesn’t necessarily move your case ahead of others or guarantee a faster I-485 approval. Hopefully once your priority date becomes current again, things will move more quickly(been current and my case just moved from nbc to la) no rfe yet. Wishing you the best of luck!

nope, the latest info i received was theough emma, the agent told me my case is processing at the la field office which is non local. i am expecting rfe for medical…

@James k @Eb3 other I think getting i485j approved without getting an interview is still a rare instance. Most of the applicants get the i485j approved after the interview. I think both of y’all cases have been waived for interview. Have you contacted Emma to see if it has been waived?

i also just got I485j approved and my date is not current. Does that mean interview waived?

similar case here. Reddit has similar case and people are getting approved within 24 hours. Your case is already pre approved and is ready for final adjudication or is awaiting visa numbers to be available
