i485 JSON data shows something was updated yesterday (IFA event),
Hi everyone, I’m a little confused and hoping for guidance.
My I-485 JSON data shows something was updated yesterday (IFA event), even though my case status didn’t change. Has anyone else had this happen? What did it lead to?
Not sure if this means an officer reviewed my case or if it’s normal system activity.

government shutdown doesn’t really stop immigration because USCIS runs on application fees, not Congress’s budget.

Thanks! From what I’ve seen now online and chatgbt, USCIS hasn’t officially defined what ‘IFA’ means in the API data. It seems more like an internal processing step than anything dramatic. My actual case status didn’t change, so I’m assuming it’s just routine system activity.”
