an interview so quickly ? it could be good, help the case move forward faster

it has nothing to do with the case moving fast. Last year they started randomly selecting Vawa applicants for interview due to fraud which led to certain lawyer prosecuted and jailed. The purpose is to know if you are aware of the Vawa filing and a probe on the abuse itself. However, the normal process is that your Vawa gets approved first before you are scheduled for I-485 interview but on the flip side, since you are called in for an interview now, you will likely not have another interview when your Vawa finally gets adjudicated and approved down the road. Vawa takes anywhere from 2 to 3.5 years to get approval.

that’s a good sign. don’t let others tell you how long Vawa takes. yes, it takes years for most of us but there are cases that get approved in months. you can have your lawyer with you at the interview. and since it’s only AOS, the officer can’t ask you about circumstances you filing for Vawa. unless they scheduled you for both Vawa and AOS. why did you filed with NBC and not Nebraska ?

@bridges 5 Thank you for your input, I filled vawa cause my Husband passed away. so right now, I’m tired, I started my Journey since 2020 and he passed last year, my I130 was denied and had to start all over…. my head is full and I’m just living by.

@j da Silva I really don’t know if it’s good or not, The person that has the same type of case isn’t responding on here and the one on Reddit isn’t responding either, so I was thinking maybe they got detained.

@killian Bay so sorry to hear that and hope your case speeds up fast. Since it’s in regards to you being a widow you will have questions from both Vawa and AOS filings. Basically good faith marriage but it will turn out well for you. Best of luck.

@killian Bay Your VAWA Is a fast track one. it’s not the regular abusive VAWA.Its a good sign. its lost spouse. Go through your VAWA statement and I-485. I have all the details of your late spouse including medical & bills

I’m sorry for your loss. did you file for vawa before your spouse passed? you use the same for I360 but instead of applicant of VAWA, you use it as a widower. this is not related to Vawa. I360 holds many types of applications.

you can apply as a widower, which is way way faster than VaWA
