i485 denied
A friend of mine i485 was denied after vawa was approved from 2023. He has not received the denial notice yet but he had a dui from 2023 also. He said the lawyer is awaiting the notice to take action. Do you guys know of approval after initial denial from a dui.

do you know if he had felony or misdemeanor charges and if you know if there’s any injury or property damage

DUI appears to be the red flag and a very likely reason of denial unless there’s more to the applicants history. the applicant can appeal but in the time being he or she must prove by doing courses or rehab and get more letters for good moral character.

only one dui without injury or property damage 3 years ago shouldn’t be problem but if there’s mor criminal background can be really serious
