no RFE. our case was not straightforward AOS case. we had pending asylum as legal status.

@P C I currently have a pending asylum application and recently attended my interview(eb3). Just a week after the interview, I received a Request for Evidence (RFE), which I haven’t responded to yet. My lawyer believes there’s a 99% chance that USCIS will deny my I-485 application because they consider asylum as not being a lawful status. Could you share how your AOS case got approved? Was there anything specific you did to strengthen your case or address any issues that came up?

@EB3333 Unskilled our interview questions were 90% about my husbands job related. the only question related to asylum was if is still pending and being in a pending asylum is the discretion of the officer to approve or not since this is a gray area.

@P C did you guys have any other status, besides the pending asylum? I was in the same boat, but my case got denied...

@P C Did you use a lawyer and what field office because I heard it depends on the field office some have an internal policy to deny such cases and others don’t.
