@kat . you mean your I-485 went over by 9 months? Actually mine took an year as well and I saw other people getting it in like 3 months but I waited considering those people whose applications took longer than others and after an year they decided finally to work on mine

@hope bliss yes I went over by 9mths. my application should’ve been approved last year…but backlogs are astronomical huge…. it’s a matter of patience unfortunately. insecurities can get the better of us sometimes but perseverance is key. I spent a lot of time thinking I’d been forgotten, application lost or my case was collecting dust somewhere since i couldn’t arouse response from any govt dept or org to know what was going on. Finally glad it’s over now

@Mrkvica M. weirdly I got a double approval - one on Friday and a new status update yesterday with the same thing… either it’s glitching or someone’s pressing the wrong buttons 😅

@kat . as long as it's approval you are good! I think there is a glitch in the system. Is it only in lawfully or also on uscis website?

@Mrkvica M. it was both… it’s approved, but I wonder if the glitch occurs in the making of the G.Card and status update was wrongly inputted. instead of “sending card” it’s another “approved” status… either way the approval status won’t change

@GODANDTIME spice no idea… my case was approved 6/24. I’m still waiting ironically my EAD extension was approved and they are sending card for that… so I’m not sure if that is a clerical error or it’s the green card, since there’s no reason for me to have a work permit, green card approved 🤷‍♀️ ideally, apparently it could take up to a month. depends on backlog. in the meantime I’m using my Notice of Approval for all other things. you can get your passport stamped with the approval stamp at the uscis field office as a temp card until the real one comes.

@GODANDTIME spice @Mrkvica M. nope wrong card… uscis (idiots) approved my new EAD and sent the card out… the EAD is invalid and mistakenly granted 😅 So they can quickly produce an EAD approved in error and can't produce a green card urgently needed.... go figure!! Supposedly my green card was requested for production on June 21 and there are delays in production and because it was requested produced, they can't do a stamp in my passport. But we have requested to speak with a supervisor. They said there is no way to over-ride the system. We have to wait until 30 days have passed and then submit an e-request for non-delivery of document. 🥴 here we go again
