better terminate it before USCIS denied your i485 because of it. some officers are heartless, some will sent your case to the judge or wait for the judge to make a decision

my lawyer told me he sent two motions to terminate my case, lucily i called the clerk they told me they never received anything. what i do i wrote them this letter with a copy of everything I would like to withdraw my 1-589- Asylum and for Withholding of Removal application which is currently pending with USCIS with EOIR Immigration Court, I am no longer seeking asylum because I currently have temporary protected status and an approved il30 along with pending adjustment of status with uscis. My alien Number is 2050xxxxx I've been coming to the court since 2013 and attended so many hearings with no decision and my case is been pending since 2020 with no future appointment. please let me know if you need anything from me they closed it yesterday

im under removal proceedings too ill explain what my attorney has spoken to me about have been under removal since 2013 last year my court case was administratively closed im still waiting on the approval of my I-130 since june 2020 but the hopes(plan) are once approved get the soonest court hearing scheduled to have judge terminate my removal case and ask judge to adjust my status

@Omega % thanks for your answer. Yes I did my interview in Seattle on January 2024 then one week later they approved my I-130. My wife filed for me on Dec 2020. it took more than 3 years to get it approved. The interview was very straightforward it lasted about 20 minutes.

@Omega % I’m sorry for the confusion. It will be my merit hearing. Because my master hearing was in 2019.

@Omega % as you mentioned earlier I haven’t filed anything yet. I’m waiting for the judge to terminate the removal proceedings then I will file the I-485 application with the USCIS. Hopefully he will terminate it tomorrow. Are you in the same situation like me?

it will be dismissed by the judge, don't give yourself headache about it, mine was dismissed while I130 was still pending.

thanks @In God’s Time Hopefully your I-130 will get approved soon. Have a faith and be patient. Mine has taken 3 years to get approved. File in Dec 2020 and get approved on Jan 2025. Good luck

Hi @Omega % @In God’s Time I just finished my merit hearing meeting with the judge. It was video conference and the judge granted the motion filed by lawyer. It was quick and straightforward it took about 5 minutes. He said the reason that he didn’t sign it because his team didn’t show it to him and he even apologized for that. I’m very happy to get out of the court now because it is very stressful for me to be in removal proceedings since 2019. Thanks for your help
