I want to make sure I am correct ✅ about this? 485 Adjudication
Hi again,
I want to make sure I am correct about this. ALL family based AOS need to be approved by a field office and cannot be decided at NBC. The file can be electronically transferred, but does require the field office? Thank you 🙏

that’s not correct, NBC approves family based cases as well. I’ve heard people on fb groups being approved without the case moving to their field office.

@🌴island bwoy 🥥🍹 My 485 has not been approved. The 765 and 131 are decided by different officers. They approved those, but different officers decide the 485.

im 99% sure they all go to field offices. field offices can send back to NBC but from what I’ve seen they do go at some point. all my approval notices came from NBC and I know my case was reviewed at Charlotte FO.

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 I had someone comment on my other post that NBC approves 485 at NBC. I said no but then wanted to make sure. I think NBC can approve employment 485 but that does not impact us.

@Kingsley B that could be the employment based ones. there’s a lot of confusion and sometimes Emma says conflicting things. expect your case to go to a field office.

my lawyer told me today that NBC can approve your cases if the officer determines u don’t need interview. but if NBC send ur case to local office it means you may likely get interviewed.
