don’t panic, happens a lot to everyone. Next, find the RFE under documents in your USCIS account to know the reason of RFE. finally if you have an lawyer approach him/her about it. Find what they want to return it via documents to them or online and viola you are done.
yash PatelSep 16, 2025
if I may ask what was the reason of RFE?
fady yousefSep 16, 2025

@fady yousef It was just I-130 submitted.

For the I-130 initial evidence, you must submit documents proving your identity, the beneficiary's identity, the qualifying family relationship (e.g., birth certificates, marriage certificate), the petitioner's U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (LPR) status, and evidence of a good-faith relationship, especially for marriage-based petitions.
fady yousefSep 17, 2025
Petitioner's Citizenship/LPR Status: Proof of your status, such as a U.S. birth certificate, U.S. passport, or Certificate of Naturalization.
Identity Documents: For both you (the petitioner) and the beneficiary, including birth certificates.
Family Relationship Documents: Evidence showing the relationship, such as:
Birth Certificates: To show parent-child relationships.
Marriage Certificate: For spousal relationships.
Proof of Termination of Previous Marriages: Divorce decrees or death certificates if either party was previously married.
Bona Fide (Good-Faith) Relationship: For spouses, you need to prove the marriage is real, which can include:
Joint Documents: Leases, mortgages, joint bank accounts, shared utility bills.
Photographs: Pictures of the couple together.
Affidavits: Statements from friends and family who know the couple well.
Shared Experiences: Evidence of cohabitation, shared finances, and family experiences.
Passport-Style Photos: Two identical passport-style photos of both the petitioner and the beneficiary.
English Translations: If any of your documents are not in English, you must provide a complete and accurate certified English translation.
