Transition from F1 to family based Gc
I have applied for GC last Sep 2022 and right now I am on F1 OPT which is going to expire Jun 14 but since RFE was submitted on Apr 3 I still have time for extension I am hoping that my GC before that. Since now I am trying to change my job I need to have valid visa for 6 months. Any idea or suggestion on what I should do or till when I can get my green card.
Do I have any chance of getting I765 approved before my OPT expiring?
Any suggestions?

They are approving cases for August and September now. If your medical and tax return is okay, you will get approved soon.

@pravesh Aryal Really? Thank you for letting me know. Since my EAD is going to expire by June 13 I have to apply for extension right to be able to work and change job?

I have a very similar timeline to yours(Applied for GC in September 2022, OPT STEM EAD expires July) and about to file to expedite my GC based EAD because I'm afraid to lose my job. Maybe apply to expedite too.

@frosia kukueva you already have GC EAD? Apply to expedite ? How?
Sept 2022May 18, 2023
I don’t have GC EAD yet that is why I am going to apply to expedite EAD approval process. Google “expedite EAD based on I-485” and the step by step process should pop up. Pretty much you need to prove that you will have a severe financial loss if you lose a job.
